After surpassing two massive sci-fi and superhero franchises, Spider-Man: Brand New Day now has its sights set on a legendary filmmaker’s record. The latest box office data reveals just how close the film is to climbing even higher on the all-time chart.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s box office reaches new heights

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has crossed $2.219 billion at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo. The Sony Pictures release now ranks as the sixth highest-grossing film of all time globally. It recently surpassed both Avengers: Infinity War ($2.052 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.071 billion).

The film has earned $854.9 million domestically and $1.365 billion internationally. Its domestic opening weekend stood at $360 million, marking one of the biggest debuts ever. China contributed $209 million to the international total, while the United Kingdom added $106.5 million.

Brand New Day opened across multiple markets starting July 29, 2026. Mexico generated $79.8 million, and Brazil brought in $52 million for the Latin American region. India contributed $55.7 million, and South Korea added $53.5 million to the Asia Pacific numbers.

The film shows no signs of slowing down at the global box office anytime soon whatsoever. It currently sits behind Titanic ($2.264 billion) and Ne Zha 2 ($2.270 billion) on the all-time chart. Industry tracking suggests it will surpass both titles very soon and then target Avatar: The Way of Water ($2.334 billion).

The PG-13 rated action-adventure runs two hours and 25 minutes. It follows a forgotten Peter Parker living alone as a full-time Spider-Man. The story escalates when mounting pressure triggers a dangerous change and a powerful new enemy emerges. Australia earned $49.1 million, while France collected $74.3 million among key international territories. Germany rounded out the major European markets with approximately $49 million in total gross.
