The reality TV star grew up in Georgia with her siblings — Angel, Ava and Asia — and their parents, Donnell and Natischa.
"If I had another 100 lives, I would choose to be apart of my family EVERY single time," Aniya wrote on Instagram in November 2022. "I am blessed- they make my life truly special and exciting everyday❤️😘."
After Aniya joined the cast of Love Island USA season 8, Angel likewise called Aniya the "best big sister I could ask for" in a TikTok post. "And yes my page is a fan page of my sister I miss her so much omg!!!" she added.

Aniya, Angel, Ava and Asia spent their childhood in Tyrone.
The sisters were raised by parents Donnell and Natischa, who married in 2001, according to Ebony. Aniya was born the following year, in September 2002. After welcoming Aniya, Donnell and Natischa expanded their family with the birth of Asia in November 2006, followed by daughters Angel and Ava.
Aniya attended Sandy Creek High School and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in May 2024.

Donnell is a retired pro athlete who played in the NBA from 2000 to 2005.
The power forward began his basketball career as a star high school player in Georgia. He went on to play for the University of Florida for one year before getting drafted by the New York Knicks in 2000. Donnell was immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks, playing for them from 2000 to 2002. He also played for the Denver Nuggets, the Orlando Magic, the Phoenix Suns and the New Jersey Nets.

Two of her sisters are also athletes
Aniya inherited her dad's love of sports and played volleyball at the collegiate level for Florida Atlantic University. The father-daughter duo aren't the only athletes in the family, however.
Aniya's sister Asia currently plays volleyball for the University of Miami. Angel, meanwhile, will join the flag football team at the University of Mount Olive in the fall of 2026.
During the season 8 cast reveal video for Love Island USA, Aniya said that growing up in such an athletic family made her "a bit competitive" albeit "super friendly," per NBC.

Aniya's journey on Love Island USA hasn't always been smooth sailing, but her sisters have supported her from afar.
After fellow contestant (and former romantic partner) KC Chandler called Aniya a "grandma," Angel took to TikTok to go to bat for her sibling.
"The narrative some people are trying to create about her is honestly disappointing," she wrote. "Whether you think she gives 'grandma vibes,' is 'boring,' or simply isn’t your favorite personality, those are personal opinions, and there’s no need to turn them into hurtful comments. Not every thought needs to be shared online."
Angel went on, "What makes me laugh the most is seeing people call her insecure when anyone who truly knows her knows that couldn’t be further from the truth. She’s confident in who she is, and she doesn’t need to tear others down to feel good about herself."
Asia has also weighed in on her sister's status in the Love Island USA villa. When an audience vote offered a chance for Aniya's new connection, Carl, to return to the show after getting booted, fans reassured Asia in the comments section of one of her TikTok videos that he had their vote.
Asia then replied to some of the comments to voice her support, writing "Yessss" and posting several gifs.
