Ariana Grande has a new ‘do!

The Grammy winner, 33, known for her longtime signature ponytail, shared selfies of her new retro-inspired bob in an Instagram post on Thursday, Oct. 22. Grande styled her new cut in a deep side part with flipped ends. She concluded the post with a photo of one of her dogs.

On Monday, Oct. 19, the singer shared that her other pup of 17 years, Coco, had died, posting an Instagram tribute filled with photos, some in black and white, and videos of Coco over the years, calling her “sweetest, most amazing and most beautiful coco.”

“I am so proud of you,” the Wicked star continued. “Thank you for your love, and for blessing this planet with your physical presence for over seventeen wonderful years.”

The news came ahead of Grande’s planned “extensive break” from the public eye. A rep told PEOPLE on Aug. 2 that she will be “taking a step back from visibility” after her Eternal Sunshine Tour concluded on Sept. 1, and the promotion of her latest film, Focker-in-Law, out in theaters on Nov. 25.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” the rep added at the time. “This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”

Ahead of her break, she remains “committed” to promoting the upcoming film, which she is “very proud” of, a source told PEOPLE in September.
