Ariana Grande unveiled her new bob in an October 22 Instagram post.
The style featured side-swept bangs and flipped-up ends.
Her hairstylist remarked that “the ponytail is taking a hiatus.”
Ariana Grande is embracing a new hairstyle, just in time for the changing seasons.
On October 22, the 33-year-old singer shared several selfies on Instagram and showed off a bob worn with a side-swept bang and flipped-up ends. She paired the charming style with a blush pink ribbon tied around her neck and a white lace top.

She also donned extra-long eyelashes with a French manicure and captioned the photo with a simple “♡” emoji. Her fans flocked to the comments to praise her new style, with many affectionately calling her “Bobiana.”
The hairstylist who crafted the look was Brandon Pietsch, whom she tagged in the first photo of her carousel. Pietsch shared photos of Grande’s bob and captioned his post, “The ponytail is taking a hiatus 🙊.” And on his Instagram Stories, he said that she’s now “in her bob era.” He even revealed that he was responsible for Grande’s new hair color, a soft chestnut brown.

For her last red carpet appearance, the “hate that i made you love me” singer attended the Golden Globes in January and rocked her signature high ponytail. Styled by Law Roach, she stunned in a voluminous black Vivienne Westwood gown.
Back in 2018, Grande briefly discussed her much-talked-about ponytail. “The pony has also gone through an evolution, and I’m proud of that,” she told The Fader. “Old pony? I don’t know if she’s that girl. But new pony? I like her. I mean, it’s like a Victoria’s Secret angel without angel wings. It’s still her without them, but when she’s with them it’s like, ‘Ohh, I get it, she’s an angel.’”

Grande’s announcement of her new bob comes days after she shared that her dog Coco died.
On October 19, she shared the news with a heartfelt Instagram post. In her caption, she wrote, “sweetest, most amazing and most beautiful coco … i am so proud of you. thank you for your love, and for blessing this planet with your physical presence for over seventeen wonderful years. ♡🪽you make everywhere you go a more beautiful place. i will miss you every day and hold you in my heart always. i love you so, sweet girl.”
