ABC's The Bachelorfranchise is currently undergoing some major changes, as producers reorganize schedules and change casting routines to ensure viewer engagement. With the casting of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul, Bachelor fans are hopeful for an entertaining season. Charity Lawson, Bachelorette 20 lead, says she has "mixed feelings" regarding the decision.

Originally, Bachelorette leads are casted from the previous season of The Bachelor. Leads are typically fan favorites and have rich personalities that can hold their own. They also have to be mentally prepared.

The Bachelor is a mentally taxing show full of fast-paced and highly emotional relationships. In order to play a lead, you must be ready for that. Charity reveals in an interview with It Girl that she hopes Taylor is.

In the interview, Charity reflects on her time on the show, noting how much it impacted her mental health, even when she was in the best state of her life going into it.

"When I became Bachelorette, I felt like I was at the most healthiest point of time in my life, and even that, coming on the other side of it, I was like, 'Oh, this just put me through the ringer.' In this moment, to this day, I am still adjusting."

Charity praises Taylor, sharing that she is excited for her season and hopeful that with her dedicated following, the franchise will have a successful rebrand. However, that doesn't stop her from being worried.

"Knowing Taylor Frankie's history, and like, how she was on Mom Tok, I just like hope that she is surrounded by people that is going to really support her through this journey. I obviously want the best for her and I am rooting for love."
