A popular Blue Ash bakery with roots in Hyde Park will return to the city with a second outpost.

Sebastian Bakehouse, known for its colorful croissants, espresso and savory pastries, will open a new location in Mount Washington within the historic Ice & Beer Building on Plymouth Avenue.

Co-founders and pastry chefs Laura Kate Adelman and Randy Sebatian began with their first bakehouse in Mariemont after hosting weekend pop-ups in Hyde Park. In 2023, the couple moved the bakehouse to Summit Park in Blue Ash, where they have been ever since.

"We’re deeply honored to be part of this next chapter," the bakery's owners said on social media. "Sebastian Coffeehouse will call this space home—not just as a place to grab coffee and pastry, but as a space rooted in craft, connection, and everyday rituals. A place that respects what came before while helping shape what comes next."

Details and timelines for the opening of the bakery were not immediately available.

Sebastian Bakehouse's pop-ups were within the grocery area and kitchen space of Dutch's on Erie Avenue. Those pop-ups turned out to be widely successful, with customers lining up all the way down the street. Eventually, Sebastian, the former pastry chef at Boca, opened a brick-and-mortar spot in Mariemont.
