Dwayne Johnson is full of surprises!
The 54-year-old actor surprised young performers from The British Theatre Academy during their rendition of “You’re Welcome” at the Moana Pop-Up Experience in London on Tuesday, June 30.
Johnson first sang the catchy tune as Maui in the 2016 original animated movie, and does so again as he reprises the role in the upcoming live-action adaptation.
An adorable video of the special moment shows the movie star entering the grassy performance area from the sidelines with a microphone. He sings a verse of the song while the student performers do a choreographed dance behind him and provide backing vocals.

The British Theatre Academy shared their reaction to the joyous performance in a Facebook post, writing, “Some days are just a little more magical than others!”
“Thank you Disney @disneystudiosuk for making this one happen and looking after us with such support and belief! Today was turned around in just 48 hours!! Huge congratulations to our members, our creatives and the admin team who made this all happen,” they continued.
“More news and reels to follow of Dwayne Johnson,” the school teased, adding, “We are all still recovering from this brilliant event!”
The British Theatre Academy Vice Principal Corin Pinky Miller also reflected on the moment.
“The past 48 hours has been an absolute rollercoaster! Like a surprise gust of wind that is both refreshing but a little scary cos it’s got power and purpose,” she wrote in a post.
“Today our members performed with Dwayne Johnson and it was as surreal as it sounds! What a kind and generous man, in energy, soul and words. His endorsement of the Academy was EVERYTHING and more,” Miller added.

Miller also thanked Disney for their support and the choreographers who helped the students learn “authentic Samoan moves."
Academy's Chief Executive Matthew Chandler told PEOPLE over email that the school was "thrilled" to be part of the event, and the kids were "incredibly excited to be performing" alongside Johnson.
"It was an especially meaningful experience because we know how passionate Dwayne is about supporting young people in the arts," he said. "Given everything The British Theatre Academy stands for, our hearts were truly full to have been part of such an incredible opportunity."
The pop-up experience was in Potters Fields Park to celebrate the upcoming release of the Moana live-action movie, per a press release from Disney UK. Free to guests, the one-day-only experience that spanned over 10,000 square feet featured a massive recreation of Maui’s magical hook.
The pop-up also included dance routines from the London School of Hula and Ori, photo opps, a pig petting farm, lei-making workshops, karaoke and game stations, as well as Pacific food and beverages.
