Donald Trump has endured countless unfavorable comparisons throughout his decades in the public eye. But likening him to an tin of Spam is undoubtedly unprecedented.
Wall Street veteran turned political analyst Anthony Scaramucci held the role of Trump's White House communications director for a disastrous 11-day period at the start of the president's first administration.
The experience nearly derailed his professional life, but he has since resurrected his standing as a prominent political pundit. It come as a lip reader claimed Trump let slip his true feelings for wife Melania in a tense chat.

Having observed Trump at close range, Scaramucci is uniquely positioned to reveal what the president is genuinely like in private settings. And criticism from Scaramucci's mother, a make-up artist, regarding the president's makeup routine sparked an extraordinary revelation about his grooming habits.
In an interview with The Times, he revealed: "She (his mother) hates Trump's make-up. It's like an orange bronzer he buys from a supply shop in the Bronx. He looks like an open can of Spam without make-up," reports the Mirror.

"He puts it on in the morning. Sometimes he reapplies it at night. It's a tanner. He thinks it looks fantastic, by the way."
Spam made its American debut in 1937. The canned meat product swiftly gained popularity and is recognized for its characteristic pale pink appearance fresh from the tin.
When cooked through frying, grilling or baking, it takes on a golden-brown or reddish-brown shade. Speculation surrounding Trump's complexion has persisted for decades.

Though many assume he applies bronzer, the president has previously addressed his detractors, attributing his hue to energy-efficient lightbulbs.
Speaking at a House Republican retreat dinner in 2019, Trump explained: "People said 'what's with the light bulb?' I said here's the story, and I looked at it. The bulb that we're being forced to use - no.1, to me, most importantly, the light's no good. I always look orange."

Yet this hasn't prevented critics and comics from bestowing upon him various mocking monikers, such as 'Mango Mussolini' and 'Agent Orange'.
Scaramucci had been a vocal Trump opponent until the businessman declared his presidential candidacy in 2015.
Throughout the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries, he backed Scott Walker initially, then Jeb Bush. Following their exits from the contest, he joined Trump's operation, working on finance and later the transition team.
He subsequently became White House communications director in July 2017, though his tenure proved remarkably brief.

Scaramucci conducted what he assumed was a confidential conversation with The New Yorker, during which he lambasted White House colleagues Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon. Chief of Staff John Kelly swiftly dismissed him, with Trump's blessing.
Scaramucci maintained his public allegiance to Trump until the summer of 2019, before reverting to his role as an outspoken critic of the president. He threw his support behind Joe Biden in 2020 and Kamala Harris in 2024.
During his chat with the Times, Scaramucci made the bold assertion that nobody he's encountered actually likes Trump - including his own family members.
He said: "I have yet to find a person that really likes Trump. Including all of his family members. Nobody likes him."
He went on to suggest his wife Deidre shares a similar distaste for the president, remarking: "My wife hates Trump almost as much as Melania. And if she was here, she would say more than Melania."
