Former child actress Raquel Lee Bolleau has filed a civil suit accusing a Disney worker of sexually assaulting her during the production of 2001’s *The Poof Point*. The suit does not name the alleged perpetrator but accuses the studio of negligence.

In the legal complaint obtained and reviewed by **, Bolleau’s attorneys allege that an unnamed “middle-aged, male employee of Disney” pressured the actress to consume alcohol, and then repeatedly “raped, sexually assaulted, sexually abused, and sexually harassed” her on the set of the 2001 Disney Channel Original Movie when she was 14 years old.

Bolleau, who works under the name Raquel Lee, claims that the assault occurred multiple times at the hotel where the cast and crew were staying during production in Salt Lake City and later on a flight back to Los Angeles. She additionally alleged that the assailant “would torment” her while on set by whispering comments like “last night was so good” and “used hugs to get close to her” in “plain view” of other adults. Bolleau claims that despite signs that something was wrong, nobody intervened, and the studio failed to investigate.

The civil negligence lawsuit — filed against The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, Aug. 21 — contends that Bolleau’s professional performance began to decline as a result of trauma from the assault. The actress pointed to serious changes in her behavior, including that she appeared sick and intoxicated.

Bolleau alleges this was “a stark difference from the dedicated, studious and diligent child actress who had joined the movie.” The actress claims that Disney still failed to investigate, adding that studio executives blamed her for the changes in conduct, described her as “out of control,” and eventually canceled another planned role.

With her complaints, Bolleau is seeking damages for alleged economic losses and emotional distress, as well as punitive damages, attorneys’ fees and other costs. The complaint did not specify a total amount.

In a statement to EW, Bolleau’s attorneys, Douglas Wigdor and Jane Kim, said, “Over the last decade, countless child actors have come forward to bravely share their experiences of abuse by adults in entertainment. As former government prosecutors, our message to the entertainment industry is simple: This conduct is inexcusable, and those involved — directly or indirectly — must be held accountable.”

Representatives for The Walt Disney Company did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

Before* The Poof Point*, Bolleau got her start on *The Amanda Show, *Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show starring Amanda Bynes and created by the now-embattled Dan Schneider. Recent years have seen Schneider, the mega-producer behind *Zoey 101*,* iCarly* and more, being accused of cultivating a toxic workplace culture that was addressed in the docuseries *Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV*. The series saw Bolleau’s former costar Drake Bell detail the extensive abuse that he endured at the hands of Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck, who was later convicted.

After filming *The Poof Point*, Bolleau lent her voice to the Disney Channel animated series *The Proud Family*, which aired from 2001 to 2005. She later returned for several episodes of the Disney+ revival *The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,* which aired from 2022 to 2025.
