Mina Starsiak Hawk will be back on HGTV after filming Rock the Block season 7.

Hawk, known for her and her mother, Karen E. Laine's 8-season HGTV series Good Bones, opened up about filming Rock the Block season 7 in a January 2026 interview with People. She referenced that she and her fellow HGTV personalities Scott McGillivray, Taniya Nayak, and Kim Wolfe had celebrity partners for season 7 of the competition series. Hawk suggested she enjoyed being partners with NFL star and actor, Vernon Davis, while they fixed up a property in Las Vegas.

“Knowing that he was a football player, knowing his position and when he played in the league, I was like, no matter what, he's going to be a good teammate. You just aren't the kind of person that thinks you can do it all by yourself if you're successful in the NFL for that long the way he was. So I knew that was going to be great," said Hawk during the People interview.

In addition, she said that "there was so much shenanigans" with all the teams, which consisted of Nayakm and 98 Degrees member Drew Lachey, McGillivray and reality TV personality, Brooke Hogan, and Wolfe and Southern Charmalum Chelsea Meissner.

"And there's several instances where Vernon [Davis], my partner, who's a giant ex NFL player, would just physically move someone that he didn't want where they were. Just always messing with each other and playing around. And I'm pretty sure Brooke [Hogan] got a couple solid tackles of Vernon because she's a tall lady as well," said Hawk in the interview.

Hawk also noted that she was a judge during Rock the Block Season 6, Episode 2 ("Don't Call Us Rookies"), which aired in April 2025. She said she believed her experience as a judge helped her as a Rock the Block competitor.

“Every decision I make, I also reflect on if I was a judge, this is what I would say about this,. Or the thing that goes wrong that I don't have the budget or time to fix — if I was a judge, this is what I would say and this is why I would dock you and you wouldn't win," said Hawk while speaking to People. "So while it's definitely I think a bit of an edge to have both perspectives, it also was just mental gymnastics all the time.”

Fans will be able to tune into Rock the Block season 7 sometime in 2026.

Mina Starsiak Hawk Said Her Children Were Happy About Her HGTV Comeback

While speaking to People, Hawk said her and her husband, Steve Hawk's children, Jack, 7, and Charlie, 5, have expressed excitement about her HGTV comeback. She said that her son and daughter visited Las Vegas "to see the house and the set" during the production of Rock the Block season 7. According to Hawk, her kids "very much missed" being around renovations being filmed for HGTV.

"[They were] like, ‘Mom, when are you going to build houses again on TV? The cameras aren't around anymore. When are we going to do that again?’ They really enjoyed it,” said Hawk to People.

Hawk announced that she was finishing up filming for Good Bones in an August 2023 episode of her podcast, Mina AF.

"That's a wrap folks," said Hawk on her podcast.

She described filming the final Good Bones episodes as "the end of an era." In addition, she said that she was "super super proud of" Good Bones, which aired its series finale in October 2023. She also said she was "really grateful" to HGTV for the opportunity to film the series. According to Hawk, the show was an authentic representative of her Indianapolis-based home renovation company, Two Chicks and a Hammer.

People reported that Hawk and Laine also starred in the 2024 three-episode series, Good Bones: New Beginnings.
