Jonathan Scott is taking a moment to reflect on his exciting next chapter!
The HGTV star, 48, marked a "magical" milestone regarding the development of his new daytime talk show, BETTER! with Jonathan Scott, in an Instagram post on Monday, June 29.
Alongside a photo of Scott posing behind a couch topped with decorative pillows — which is seemingly part of the set of his new show — he penned a heartwarming message about what this next phase in his life means to him.
“What just a year ago seemed like a dream, has now become a reality. Had the most incredible time shooting the pilot for my talk show. I am SO thankful for my incredible team and guests who made it magical. Stay tuned,” he wrote in the caption.
The Celebrity IOU host first revealed the news of his next project in a June 10 Instagram video, in which he announced the name of the show and shared that the pilot would be shot later this month in New York City.
“You have graciously invited me into your living rooms for over 15 years with our renovation shows, design projects, wild adventures. Thank you for putting up with me because frankly most people can't," Scott joked in the beginning of the clip.
After he went on to explain how the “most important part” of his work has always been "connecting with people and helping families do something that actually makes life better at home,” he then officially shared the news of the forthcoming pilot and revealed what the show will be about.

“I’m going to bring in celebrity experts, fun interviews, practical projects, and stuff that will actually make life better for everybody who watches the show,” he explained. “And this is home-related, food, health, you name it. It’s a little bit of everything.”

“This is sort of a historic moment for me, and I'm hoping I can spend that with you,” he concluded. The show will be considered for CBS Media Venture's syndication slate in the fall of 2027, Deadlinepreviously reported.
In his caption, the contractor — who has a pied-a-terre in N.Y.C. with his fiancee Zooey Deschanel — explained that while the show is still in development, it felt like “a natural next chapter” for him.
He also reassured fans that his home renovation shows they know and love aren't going anywhere.

Scott rose to fame with his hit renovation series, Property Brothers, which also stars his twin brother Drew.
