Lil Nas X joked that going to rehab ruined one key thing for him going forward.
āEver since I got out of rehab, everybody is like, OD nice to me,ā the performer said in a new video.
The āOld Town Roadā singer was arrested in August 2025 and charged with felonies.
Amid his recovery from personal and legal woes, āOld Town Roadā singer Lil Nas X has joked about one thing going to rehab ruined for him going forward.
In a new Instagram video, the 27-year-old Grammy winner addressed life after rehab one year after he was arrested and charged with four felonies related to battery of a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer (all of which he pleaded not guilty to, per Reuters.)
āEver since I got out of rehab, everybody is like, OD nice to me,ā the recording artist said, referencing a colloquialism that signifies the act of overdoing something.
I could be like, āHey!ā And youāre going to be like, āOh my god, youāre so brave!āā the performer joked.
He added, āI could try to post a thirst trap on my Instagram Story. And then, itās going to be somebody like, āKeep fighting, king!āā
The rapper earlier this year addressed on Instagram his mental health and recovery, admitting in a video on the social media site that he felt āawkwardā about speaking so candidly about his state.

āIāve been in rehab for a few months, and since then Iāve been, you know, back at home, whether itās in Atlanta with my family or in Los Angeles with myself and friends and whatnot, and trying to ground myself down to earth and get out of my head,ā he said in June.
He was previously admitted into a mental health diversion program in March, and said that he now has a regular therapist who works with him in the aftermath of the charges. His felony police battery case will be dismissed upon completion of all mandated programs.
The entertainer finished the video by telling fans that heās ādoing much betterā and ācreating freelyā in his off time in anticipation of potentially releasing new music.

āIām excited to do that, and Iām excited to go on this journey with you guys, this next chapter,ā he told fans in the clip. āWeāve been through so much together, like, thank you guys for holding it down, and I love you, and all I want to do is continue to try to make you proud and make myself proud, so letās go, Dreamboy, letās go, you.ā
