Tuesday’s CBS soaps delivered a powerful mix of heart and high-stakes drama. On Beyond the Gates, family bonds were tested as devastating health news brought both comfort and fear. The Young & the Restless pushed its corporate war closer to the edge as obsession and ambition collided. Meanwhile, The Bold & the Beautiful explored betrayal, loyalty, and new beginnings. Here's what happened on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Beyond the Gates:
Vernon helped Anita settle back into the house following her first round of chemo, patiently enduring her irritation over his constant hovering. When Anita pressed him for answers about Dani and Nicole’s test results, Vernon reluctantly told her the truth — Nicole’s results were negative, but Dani’s were not. Anita immediately blamed herself, but Vernon gently reminded her that cancer touches every family and that it wasn’t her fault. Despite Vernon’s strong objections, Anita insisted on going to see Dani in person to check on her herself.
At Dani’s place, she anxiously stared at her phone, willing it to ring with news about her daughters and her mother. Andre tried to calm her and distract her from spiraling, and the two shared a tender moment, reaffirming their love and how lucky they were to have found each other. As they began to make love, the doorbell rang. They tried to ignore it, but when it wouldn’t stop, Andre went downstairs — only to find Anita and Vernon already removing their coats. He attempted to warn Anita that Dani might not be dressed, but she brushed past him without hesitation. Vernon filled Andre in on Anita’s condition and offered him pointed advice, warning him not to repeat the mistakes Bill and Ted had made with Dani and Nicole — and cautioning that if Andre failed, someone else would be waiting to take his place.
Upstairs, Dani was stunned to see Anita and quickly realized her mother knew about her test results. Anita wrapped her daughter in a tight embrace and apologized for passing on the gene, but Dani firmly rejected the blame, telling her mother she wouldn’t trade being her daughter for anything. Anita reflected on once imagining her children as miniature versions of herself and expressed pride in how independent and unique both her daughters had become. Dani admitted she understood the guilt Anita felt because she carried the same fears for her own daughters. When Anita asked about Dani’s follow-up appointments, Dani said she would schedule them — she just needed time to process. Grateful, Dani told her mother she was exactly what she needed in that moment.
Downstairs, Andre assured Vernon that Dani was his priority and shared details of his recent confrontation with Bill. When Anita and Dani came down together, Anita told Vernon she was relieved and ready to leave, confident her daughter was strong. Dani declared that cancer was no match for Dupree women.
Elsewhere at Uptown, Nicole met with Carlton, who was relieved to learn her test results were negative but confused by her lack of joy. Nicole explained Dani’s diagnosis, and while Carlton tried to stay optimistic, Nicole was overwhelmed by despair. She admitted relief that her own children were safe but couldn’t stop thinking about Dani and her nieces. Carlton raised an eyebrow at her strong drink order, but Nicole brushed it off, insisting she wasn’t as perfect as she appeared. When Carlton told her she didn’t need to fix him or herself, Nicole broke down and admitted she was terrified — especially about Anita’s battle with cancer. Carlton reassured her that Anita had the strength to survive. When Nicole tried to order another drink, Carlton insisted on taking her home.
Back at Nicole’s place, she wanted to keep drinking, desperate for one night without responsibility. Carlton refused to let her drink alone and stayed with her. As music played, they danced, and Nicole kissed him aggressively, but Carlton pulled back, telling her he wanted her to choose him when she wasn’t running from her life. After tidying up, Carlton found Nicole passed out on the couch, gently covering her with a blanket and kissing her forehead.
At the police station, Elon checked in with Jacob and immediately sensed something was wrong. Jacob admitted he’d been distracted by Naomi, explaining Anita’s diagnosis and Dani’s test results and the impact it could have on his wife. Elon was upset Jacob hadn’t told him sooner but urged him to stay strong for Naomi. He invited Jacob and Naomi to attend church with him and his wife on Sunday and told Jacob to take the rest of the day off to be with her.
At the hospital, Naomi and Ashley talked about staying positive following Naomi’s blood draw. Naomi thanked Ashley for her support while teasing her about the lab tech and their upcoming date. Chelsea emerged to report that everything had gone smoothly and thanked Madison for being there. Madison reassured her that the odds were in her favor. Naomi encouraged Ashley to move on from Derek and suggested a double date. Spotting Grayson exiting the elevator, Naomi summoned him over and left Ashley to ask him if he’d like to turn their coffee date into a cocktail double date with Naomi and Jacob.
Chelsea later confided in Madison about how her kidnapping had changed her, admitting she’d been playing things too safe and wanted to reclaim her spontaneity — and maybe share an adventure together. Madison looked concerned as Chelsea hugged her.
That evening at Uptown, Naomi, Ashley, Grayson, and Jacob gathered, enjoying watching Ashley and Grayson flirt at the bar. When Ashley nearly kissed him, she noticed Naomi watching and pulled back, suggesting they go somewhere more private. Naomi reassured Jacob that she’d already completed her testing and just wanted to enjoy the night. After introductions, Ashley and Grayson announced they were leaving, and Ashley thanked Naomi for giving her the push she needed.

The Young & the Restless:
After Jack filled Diane in on how he’d come to acquire Matt Clark, he her on Victor’s delayed response, explaining that Newman Enterprises being under attack had stalled any deal-making. Jack believed Victor was scared and, for the moment, not an immediate threat. While he admitted pride in Kyle, Jack cautioned against celebrating too soon. The conversation turned to Cane and Phyllis targeting Victor, and Diane surprised herself by rooting for Phyllis. Jack warned her that they needed to stay alert until Jabot was truly safe, noting that while Victor might not tell them the truth, Nikki just might. Though Jack marveled at how quickly fortunes could change, he cautioned Diane not to underestimate Victor — and questioned whether Cane and Phyllis truly understood what they were up against.
At home, Sally overheard Billy raising a toast to Victor’s downfall, replaying years of cruel things Victor had said to him. Concerned, she confronted Billy about drinking again. He brushed it off as taking the edge off, but Sally pressed him, questioning what edge he needed alcohol to manage. Billy snapped that everything was fine, then quickly apologized. Sally revealed she’d overheard him tell Jack he was jealous that he wasn’t the one taking Victor down — and called him out for lying when she’d asked him about it. She tearfully explained how deeply lying affected her and insisted she couldn’t keep dragging the truth out of him. She worried Billy had slipped back into obsession mode. Billy apologized, calling it a small lapse, and promised her his feet were firmly on the ground. When he asked to return to celebrating their relationship, Sally hesitated, stopping him to demand one thing: a promise that he wouldn’t obsess over anyone who had hurt him again. Billy agreed — as long as he could be obsessed with her instead.
At Newman Ranch, Victoria and Adam worked the phones as they coordinated with Newman Enterprises staff as the scope of the damage became clear. Nikki demanded answers from Victor, who insisted it wasn’t an inside job and voiced his suspicion that Phyllis — possibly with Cane — had planted a backdoor in the software. Victor framed their alliance as desperation fueled by Phyllis’ anger toward him. He predicted it would all come down to negotiations with Cane and Phyllis, though Nikki doubted they would cooperate. Victor promised that Matt would pay and that Newman would survive, but Nikki warned that the program itself posed the greatest threat. When Adam and Victoria reported that the team couldn’t stop the program, Nikki urged Victor to shut everything down. He refused, insisting Newman was too big to destroy. When Victoria received word that one division had been completely wiped out, Victor stormed off to confront Cane. Victoria joined Nikki in her anger at Victor as Adam defended his father. She was further upset when Nikki revealing what had happened earlier between Jack and Victor.
On the train, Phyllis daydreamed about Victor handing her the keys to Newman Enterprises, basking in praise from Victor, Nikki, and Cane. Cane snapped her back to reality, and the two toasted to their impending victory. Phyllis reveled in the idea of destroying Victor completely, fantasizing about redesigning his office and rubbing his downfall in his face. Cane suggested keeping Victor’s portrait up as a tribute to the company’s founder. When Victor reached out, Phyllis ignored his text at Cane’s urging, and Cane soon ignored Victor’s follow-up call as well.
Later, Cane admitted he felt uneasy about Billy, sensing he knew what they were planning and seemed genuinely hurt. Cane confessed he still cared about Billy and wanted to help him. Phyllis dismissed the concern, reminding Cane that Billy wasn’t truly his brother and warning he’d only end up hurt himself. Cane insisted helping Billy wouldn’t interfere with their plan and silenced further discussion with a passionate kiss.
Later Phyllis stepped away to take a shower and Cane secretly called Billy and asked to meet the following morning. As Phyllis returned, eager to confront Victor with their victory, the door suddenly opened — and Victor walked in, unsurprised to find them together. Fixing his gaze on Cane, Victor calmly asked what it would take to end the madness.
Wednesday on The Young & the Restless:Victor and Nikki argue about family business. Nick takes matters into his own hands. Sharon helps Tessa make a tough decision.
The Bold & the Beautiful:
Brooke, Steffy, and Ridge gathered with Carter and Daphne to celebrate the newly engaged couple, gushing over Daphne’s ring and offering heartfelt congratulations. As the group shared advice on building a lasting relationship, Daphne shifted the conversation, revealing she’d heard about Katie’s new venture. She gently pressed Brooke about how she was really feeling, refusing to let her deflect by insisting the moment should stay focused on the engagement. Brooke finally admitted how deeply betrayed she felt by her sister’s decision.
Ridge quickly turned his anger toward Bill, furious that he had encouraged Katie to move forward with the project. Carter questioned why Katie would want to tie her brand to a name someone else had built, but Daphne offered a more measured take, suggesting Katie might simply be capitalizing on name recognition to give herself a stronger start. Ridge, however, remained convinced Katie was destined to fail. After the others left, Ridge comforted Brooke, apologizing that her sister was putting her through such pain.
Elsewhere, Will and Electra shared a tender moment, during which Electra expressed her desire to do more to help Dylan. She reached out to her, and when Dylan joined them, Electra explained that they wanted to offer additional support — and that they already had a plan. Though hesitant, Dylan eventually agreed to let them help, and they brought her to Forrester Creations. Dylan opened up to Steffy about her circumstances, and Electra asked Steffy to consider giving Dylan a job to help her get back on her feet. Steffy agreed to speak with Ridge about finding a place for her at the company.
Meanwhile, Donna confided in Katie that she hated being caught in the middle of her and Brooke’s feud and wished the family could find a way back to peace. Though she admitted she understood both sides, Donna made it clear how happy she was for Katie. Eric soon joined them and offered his full support, encouraging Katie and expressing his confidence in her success. When Katie asked how he was handling retirement, Eric admitted it was an adjustment but said he was staying busy. Donna reminded him that Ridge had left the door open for his return to Forrester, but Eric firmly rejected the idea, insisting that Forrester was Ridge’s now and that his pride wouldn’t allow him to step back in.
Later, alone with Katie, Eric shared that he’d been spending a great deal of time designing, even though he knew the sketches might never see production. He reflected fondly on building Forrester with Stephanie and was clearly touched when Katie asked for his advice and guidance. Eric stressed that everything hinged on her first collection being a major success, which only heightened Katie’s anxiety — especially since she didn’t yet have a designer. Fearing she would fail and prove Brooke right, Katie admitted her doubts. Eric reassured her, promising he would do everything in his power to help her succeed because he truly believed in her. He even offered to consult at her office, an offer Katie happily accepted.
Wednesday on The Bold & the Beautiful:Dylan gets excited about the idea of working at Forrester. Donna is concerned about maintaining peace among her sisters.
