Spain’s Queen Letizia has never shied away from a bold color moment. On Wednesday, the Queen stepped out in a bright and hot pink Hugo Boss pantsuit to preside over a prestigious art award ceremony, recognizing some of Spain’s most prominent honors for young creators.

The “Art 2026” award, presented as part of the Princess of Girona Foundation’s annual Talent Tour, recognizes young artists whose work generates a positive impact on society through creativity and leadership. The 2026 tour engaged with more than 30,000 youth across Spain through stops in Sant Boi-Baix de Llobregat, Huesca, Alcalá de Henares, and Granada. Its programming spans academic guidance, arts and creativity, science and technology, sports, and social commitment. This year’s winner was Gemma Blasco (in the top picture), a director and screenwriter from Barcelona.

Founded in 2009, the Princess of Girona Foundation was established to support young people in their professional and personal development. Letizia’s daughter, Princess Leonor, has been the honorary president and royal patron of the organization since her 18th birthday in 2023. But the Princess of Asturias is currently occupied with completing her military training before starting university later this year.

The appearance comes shortly after Queen Letizia and King Felipe presided over the Miguel de Cervantes Prize for Literature, widely regarded as the most prestigious literary award in the Spanish-speaking world. The day before the ceremony, the King and Queen hosted a luncheon at the Royal Palace of Madrid, where Letizia also wore a Hugo Boss ensemble ready for spring, that time in a pastel blue.
