It was good on good when New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye went head-to-head with Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams for a second time on Thursday.

Maye and the Patriots got the better of Williams and the Bears when the two first met as rookies in 2024. However, the outcome flipped the other way this time around with the Bears earning a 30-24 win in a primetime game.

Both quarterbacks played extremely well with Maye finishing the game going 24-of-31 passing for 321 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also added 26 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. On the other side, Williams went 22-of-33 passing for 308 yards and two touchdowns, along with five rushes for 18 yards.

The two briefly linked up in the middle of the field after the game to shake hands. Maye could be heard telling Williams to "stay healthy," and Williams asked to exchange jerseys.

"Can I get that?" Williams asked, while pointing at Maye's jersey.

And Maye quickly obliged.

It was a cool moment between two of the great young signal-callers in the NFL.

It's a shame that the meetings are rare with the two being in completely different conferences. But who knows? Perhaps we might someday witness the rubber match between the two on a Super Bowl stage.

It would be one for the ages.
