One of the year's biggest box office surprises is now available to watch from home.
After becoming a breakout theatrical hit following its May release, "Obsession" is now available on premium video-on-demand, giving horror fans a chance to rent or purchase the film.
Written, directed and edited by 26-year-old filmmaker Curry Barker, "Obsession" was produced on a reported $750,000 budget but has gone on to gross more than $370 million worldwide. The film has also set several milestones, including becoming Focus Features' highest-grossing movie.
Barker, who first built an audience through YouTube sketch comedy, previously told USA TODAY that he enjoys placing everyday people into impossible situations.
"My sensibilities are putting ordinary people in extraordinary situations, and pushing them past the boundaries of their comfort level," Barker said. "I gravitate toward stories that ask the audience, what would you do in this situation?"
